JOB SUMMARY
The Employee Relations Coordinator provides advanced administrative and operational support to the Employee Relations (ER) team, serving as a key partner in managing daily workflows and ensuring efficient departmental operations. This role oversees complex calendar and schedule management, coordinates meetings and projects, and supports leaders with time management and task prioritization. The ER Coordinator handles a high volume of confidential and sensitive information with discretion, maintains accurate documentation and records, and facilitates effective communication across internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to navigate sensitive employee matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
This position will provide administrative support to senior leadership as well as operational support at the department level. Previous executive or senior level support experience is preferred.

This is a hybrid position with 2 - 3 remote / remaining days on campus and as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience
6 years of progressively responsible administrative experience.

JOB DUTIES
Main point of contact for all who enter the Employee Relations Office; responsible for creating and fostering an excellent customer service experience.
Coordinate complex people, process, and resource logistics for all activities within the Office of Employee Relations.
Develops and implements best practices in employee relations operations.
Develops, revises, recommends, and interprets policies and procedures for division and employees to ensure all applicable laws and governmental guidelines are followed and employees are treated in equitable manner.
Oversees special events for department by coordinating committees and schedules and by staying within budget. Coordinates project management duties for new compliance initiatives. Coordinates various projects and programs within the department ensuring all tasks are completed by established deadlines and quality standards.
Creates and maintains metrics, dashboards, and reports that assist the department in reviewing operational performance.
Establishes reviews and continuously improves operating policies and processes to ensure compliance, and effective and efficient use of resources and time. Ensures the department is in compliance with university policies and processes.
Designs reports and presentations based on data analysis and delivers high-quality finished products for use with clients.
Coordinates various projects and programs with an emphasis on process improvement for division, ensuring all tasks are completed by established deadlines and quality customer service is provided.
Organizes office procedures to ensure effective operation. Acts as department liaison with other departments and agencies.
Determines work priorities and monitors progress toward work deadlines.
Maintains rapport with co-workers, customers, vendors and various departments when researching and developing new service and methods and resolving challenging situations.
Encourages candid exchange of ideas; articulates views clearly and directly; expresses facts clearly; communicates quickly issues affecting staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
