Position Summary:
The Employee Relations Business Partner (ERBP) is responsible for developing strategic partnerships that are integral to the success of the business and support the achievement of goals and objectives from the Human Resources perspective. This role manages employee relations, fosters relationships with team members and leadership, and ensures legal compliance. Aligns with system strategies to drive business outcomes and support organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
- Counsels and influences business leaders in complex HR issues
- Ensures consistent policy interpretation and education
- Manages and conducts thorough investigations into alleged employee relations concerns, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and policy violations
- Oversees internal dispute resolution processes, medical record audits, compliance calls, and conducts team member exit interviews
- Engages stakeholders regularly to ensure timely issue resolution
- Advises leaders and team members, providing recommendations to resolve or mediate employee relations concerns
- Plans and facilitates training programs focused on employee relations and compliance
- Analyzes employee relations trends and partners with leadership to develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies
- Collaborates closely with HR teams and operational leadership
- Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and strong communication skills with diverse audiences
- Maintains in‑depth knowledge of employment laws and partners with Legal as needed
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
- Complies with all organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
SHRM‑CP or PHR certification preferred
Experience required:
- Five (5) years of progressive human resources experience
- Three (3) or more years in employee relations with a focus on legal and regulatory issues
