Employment Attorney

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Employment Attorney to join our In House team for a staffing Agency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law such as Employment/Labor Law & workers' compensation law. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive legal counsel and support to clients while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Candidates should have excellent research and writing skills, proficiency with legal research tools and experience in legal drafting and administrative procedures. This position will be 4 days working in our office here in Fresno CA, and 1 day remote if the candidate wishes.

Shift Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri.

Duties

• Provide legal advice and representation on employment-related matters across multiple legal disciplines including labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other resources to support case development and strategy.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
• Manage litigation processes from filing to resolution, including negotiations and settlement discussions.
• Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting employment practices and workplace policies.
• Maintain detailed case files and documentation in accordance with legal administrative standards.

Skills

• Knowledge of the legal fields such as Employment/Labor law and workers' compensation law & litigation
• Proficiency with legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong research skills to analyze complex legal issues efficiently.
• Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Experience in legal drafting and administrative procedures within a busy law office environment.
• Negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients’ interests during settlements or dispute resolutions.
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
