Position Overview

We are seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Employment Specialist to join our team as an independent contractor (1099).

Job Description

This role combines:

  • Case management
  • Job coaching
  • Employer outreach

You will be responsible for helping clients secure employment while building relationships with employers in your community.

Employer Development

  • Build relationships with local businesses
  • Present and advocate for clients to employers
  • Prospect new employers through in-person visits, calls, and networking
  • Identify job opportunities and create placement pipelines

Client Support & Job Coaching

  • Assist with:
  • Job applications
  • Resume development
  • Interview preparation
  • Provide on-the-job support and coaching
  • Maintain contact after placement to ensure long-term success

Earnings & Growth Potential

Caseload Level Monthly Income Annual Income

  • 4–6 clients - Part-Time - $1,250 – $1,800 - $15K – $22K
  • 7–10 clients - Mid-Level - $2,000 – $3,300 - $25K – $40K
  • 10–15+ clients - Full-Time - $3,300 – $5,400+ - $40K – $65K+
  • Income is performance-based and increases with consistency and placements
  • Start part-time or mid-level and scale into full-time income over time

Compensation

  • 1099 Independent Contractor (commission-based)
  • Paid based on milestone outcomes
  • No cap on earnings

Work Structure

  • Flexible schedule, you control your time
  • Hybrid / field-based (local travel required)
  • Work is driven by client and employer needs
  • Many contractors find success working consistent daytime hours with occasional evenings or weekends

Training & Support

  • Initial onboarding and guidance on LRS services and processes
  • Ongoing support and strategy discussions
  • Access to company systems and workflow tools

Equipment & Technology

  • Must have:
  • Personal computer/laptop
  • Cell phone
  • Internet access
  • Company provides access to required software systems

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent employer outreach and relationship building
  • Regular communication with clients
  • Timely documentation and reporting
  • Steady job placements and follow-up support

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with outreach, networking, and relationship-building
  • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple clients independently
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, CRM systems)
  • Reliable transportation for local travel
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:

Counseling & Social Services

  • Social services
  • Vocational or employment counseling
  • Psychiatric or behavioral support services
  • Guidance and counseling
  • Rehabilitation counseling

Therapeutic Services

  • Recreational therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Art therapy

Instruction & Evaluation

  • Teaching or training roles
  • Rehabilitation instruction
  • Vocational or rehabilitation evaluation

Business & Workforce Development

  • Human resources
  • Job placement or staffing
  • Job development or employer relations

Specialized Areas

  • Nursing or healthcare-related services
  • Worker’s compensation or vocational rehabilitation cases
  • Dispute resolution related to employment or rehabilitation
