Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Employment Specialist to join our team. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining competitive employment in the community. You will work directly with individuals, employers, families, and service teams to create successful and lasting employment outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide job development, job placement, and job coaching services
• Support individuals in identifying career interests, strengths, and employment goals
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers and community partners
• Assist with resume development, job applications, and interview preparation
• Provide on-the-job training and ongoing support to ensure job success
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
• Collaborate with families, case managers, and support teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Human Services, Psychology, Education, or related field preferred)
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to build professional relationships with employers and community partners
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings or weekends if needed
