Endocrinologist (MD/DO):Position Summary:
The Endocrinologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of disorders of the endocrine system. This role focuses on the treatment of hormonal and metabolic conditions through evidence-based medical care, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize long-term patient outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Evaluate and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and lipid abnormalities
- Diagnose and treat complex hormonal imbalances and metabolic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide longitudinal outpatient care and inpatient consultations as needed
- Interpret and manage endocrine-related diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists such as nephrology, cardiology, oncology, and surgery
- Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and lifestyle management
- Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers, diabetes educators, and trainees, as applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement, population health, and patient safety initiatives
- Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Qualifications:- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited internal medicine or pediatrics residency
- Completion of an accredited endocrinology fellowship program
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility

- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and data interpretation
