Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed.
- Assist the endodontist during procedures by handling dental instruments, managing suction, and providing necessary supplies promptly.
- Take HIGH QUALITY X-ray images using dental imaging equipment such as CBCT and digital radiography systems; ensure proper positioning and safety measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic (we use Oryx, it's easy to use!) ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor vital signs of pediatric and adult patients when necessary, supporting overall patient health assessments.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions, dental terminology, and procedural steps to promote understanding and comfort.
- Support general dentistry procedures when needed, including prosthodontics or other restorative treatments, demonstrating versatility within the clinic.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with endodontic or pediatric dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with dental software platforms like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for scheduling, documentation, and medical coding purposes.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures and medical terminology to accurately support clinical activities.
- Experience with medical imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture precise diagnostic images.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
- Ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology with team members and patients alike. Pay: $175.00 - $225.00 per day
