Endoscopy Technician

Beacon Health System is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to support our gastroenterology and pulmonary endoscopy teams. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and are passionate about patient care, teamwork, and continuous learning.


What You'll Do

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will:

  • Assist physicians and nurses during GI and pulmonary endoscopy procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled cases.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopy equipment according to established protocols.
  • Assist with patient positioning, specimen collection, and procedural support.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Perform safety checks on endoscopy equipment and sterilization systems.
  • Support patient care and unit operations through clerical and nursing assistant duties.
  • Respond effectively during emergencies and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.


What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and exceptional customer service.

Preferred:

  • Up to one year of healthcare experience or six months as an Endoscopy Technician.
  • Knowledge of GI and pulmonary endoscopy procedures.
  • Experience working in procedural or surgical settings.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, assist with patient movement, lift and transport equipment, and work in an environment with potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens while following established safety protocols.
