Related is seeking a detail-driven and analytically minded Energy Analyst to support our mission of advancing sustainable, efficient energy management across the iconic Hudson Yards development and other premier properties. Spanning over 11 million square feet of office, residential, and commercial space, this portfolio represents one of the most complex and forward-thinking energy ecosystems in New York City.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Director of Energy Management and Cogeneration to oversee energy production, consumption, and optimization—transforming data into actionable insights that drive system efficiency and long-term sustainability. From reconciling utility usage to applying predictive analytics and assessing building performance, this position offers a unique opportunity to influence how energy powers a city within a city.

In this capacity, the analyst will be involved in a range of activities, from the common tasks of reporting and billing oversight to more sophisticated tasks concerning predictive analysis and generating analytic insights to drive system efficiency.

Assessment of building system efficiency & improvement identification

Reconciliation of utility bills for electricity, natural gas, and water consumption

Supervision of electricity and thermal utility billing of buildings, as well as individual commercial, office, and residential tenants

Generation of executive reports regarding energy consumption & production

Development of utility spend budgets for electricity, thermal utilities, and water

Assessment and implementation of energy management tools

Economic analysis of improvement in energy management practices

Application of analytic tools to assess and predict energy building trends

Review of relevant regulations and engagement with regulatory bodies for the development of new standards & practices\
Compensation:
$90,000 - $95,000 + Discretionary Bonus

Qualifications:
- Stable employment and educational record with 3-4 years’ experience in the Energy field or relevant field of study

Strong analytic capabilities, including working knowledge of data science and proficiency with one or more relevant analytic software packages, including Excel, Stata, MATLAB, R, or Python.

Must possess an understanding of building systems including, but not limited to, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, BMS, Fire & Life Safety and all related systems.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, & specifications.

Working knowledge and ability to utilize computers with software packages such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Project.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
