About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency & Sustainability Engineer to lead and support high-impact projects focused on energy performance, sustainable design, and compliance with international and regional green building standards. The ideal candidate will bring technical excellence, regulatory insight, and hands-on experience managing sustainability initiatives across large-scale infrastructure and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on comprehensive energy and sustainability audits for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement energy conservation and decarbonization strategies , supported by robust technical and financial analysis.
• Lead or contribute to ESCO and performance contracting projects , including measurement and verification (M&V) of savings.
• Integrate sustainability principles and energy optimization strategies in design and construction stages (e.g., energy modeling, daylight optimization, IAQ enhancement).
• Provide expert guidance on green building rating systems (LEED®, MOSTADAM®, BREEAM®, Estidama, etc.) and ensure alignment with ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Oversee sustainable material selection, waste diversion, water efficiency, and low-VOC compliance to achieve certification targets.
• Deliver training, workshops, and awareness programs on energy efficiency, ESG, and sustainability best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical proposals, sustainability reports, feasibility studies , and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure compliance with regional sustainability codes and performance standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Sustainability Engineering .
• 7–10 years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or environmental engineering—preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise in green building certification management (LEED® AP BD+C, MOSTADAM® AP BD+C).
• Strong understanding of ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in sustainable design strategies , including energy and water optimization, life-cycle assessments, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Experience in training and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) , NEBOSH Environmental Management , or equivalent are highly preferred.
