Energy Marshal

Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation to the mission-critical industry, is searching for an Energy Marshal to join our Aiken, SC based team. This person will oversee energy management, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards in this state-of-the-art data center facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize energy usage within the data center to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of power systems, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure.
• Implement and enforce energy conservation measures and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate with facility teams to maintain uptime and reliability of data center operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
• Analyze energy consumption data and provide reports to management.
• Respond to energy-related emergencies and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Train staff on energy management best practices and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data center operations or energy management.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, HVAC systems, and energy monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software.
• Understanding of electrical systems and energy efficiency standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED, or energy management) are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.

• Per Diem: 7-day per diem at the GSA rate
• Pay Range: $ 60–$70hr DOE
