Energy Sector Accountant

Accelerated Party Rentals is seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Energy Sector Accountant to join our finance team in Al Khor. This role is responsible for managing financial activities related to energy operations, including cost tracking, asset management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise along with experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting records related to energy operations, including production costs, utilities, and infrastructure expenses
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports aligned with energy sector requirements
• Monitor and analyze operational costs, identifying trends and opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Support budgeting and forecasting for energy-related projects and operational activities
• Track capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) within energy operations
• Reconcile accounts related to energy assets, fuel usage, and operational outputs
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory standards
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to align financial data with production activities
• Support audits by providing accurate financial documentation and reports
• Assist in financial modeling and analysis for energy projects and investments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within energy, utilities, oil & gas, or industrial sectors
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, financial reporting, and asset management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure-related finance roles
• Familiarity with project accounting and capital asset management
• Knowledge of financial modeling and performance analysis
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are an advantage
