Job summary:
Has primary responsibility in leading the maintenance works specializing in Smart Grid and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) applications within the Smart Grid in a safe and prompt manner by providing timely instructions to the workforce. Technical expertise of the Engineer is vital in locating system faults and abnormalities during corrective and preventive maintenance works.
General Responsibilities:

Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.

Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business policies and standards.

Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Supervise the activities related to corrective and preventive maintenance of AMI systems such as PLC, communication module, cables etc. Supervise the works carried out under new projects.

Ensure that emergency situations are attended to appropriately and promptly. Investigates reason of breakdown/faults/emergency and strives to minimize repetition as well as commonly occurring problems.

Participate in factory Inspection and acceptance test of the equipment's/cables before the delivery and inspects the same after the delivery in TAQA Distribution store.

Attend site tests and pre-commissioning tests and ensure that the Equipment/ Circuit are ready for commissioning.

Participates in the preparation of monthly and annual maintenance schedules covering the Department/Section/Unit. Supervises and ensures implementation of planned schedules.

Ensure necessary data collection and records in line with CC&B, MAXIMO and GIS requirements, related to activities carried out.

Auditing of recovered and balance material and arrange shifting of these to ADDC Stores or to safe storage.

Ensure the timely provision of material by placing store requests and/or presenting purchase requisition for material (for that are not available through MAXIMO) and places contract request and specifications in accordance to set procedures.

Preparing the necessary contract requests (Specifications, BoQs etc) for the required services & materials as and when required.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Up to 3 years of relevant working experience

Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
