The Automation Engineer / Sr. Automation Engineer will lead and execute automation design, programming, and commissioning activities for process control systems, primarily using
Siemens PCS7 / TIA / WinCC / Step7 platforms. The role involves managing automation projects end-to-end - from design and documentation to FAT/SAT and validation - while ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISA S88) and customer requirements across
pharmaceutical, chemical, and FMCG projects.
Key Responsibilities:Act as Project Automation Lead, overseeing design schedules, deliverables, and quality. Design control system architecture based on project specifications and process requirements. Develop and customize automation solutions aligned with URS (User Requirement Specification) and operational workflows. Apply ISA S88 standards in batch process automation, ensuring scalable and modular design. Prepare detailed documentation - Functional Specifications (FS), Software Design Specifications (SDS), and Control/Equipment Module Design Sheets. Execute complete PCS7 project lifecycle - from development to FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ validation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure alignment of automation and process requirements. Provide technical guidance, task allocation, and mentoring to junior engineers. Participate in pre-sales, proposal preparation, and client technical discussions to support business development. Stay abreast of emerging automation and digitalization technologies to drive innovation.
Skills & Experience:Strong hands-on experience in Siemens PCS7, Simatic Batch, Route Control, TIA Portal, WinCC, Step7. Proven experience in automation system design, programming, testing, and commissioning. Familiarity with pharma, chemical, or FMCG process automation preferred. Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery. Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
