Engineer (Fire and Safety) with IFC certification

Job description:

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineers or relevant
• 3 or 5years’ experience preferred in fire industry fields
• Position to apply for is (fire &life safety inspector in fire consultant)
• Joining date is immediate or 1 month notice
• Design: Develops and reviews designs for fire fighting, fire alarm, and fire protection systems, creating detailed shop drawings for installation.
• Project Management: Manages fire safety projects from initiation to completion, coordinating with various teams, including contractors and consultants.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensures all system designs and installations meet the specific safety standards and regulations set by the local authorities, such as the UAE Civil Defense.
• Installation & Execution: Oversees the physical installation of fire safety equipment, ensuring proper execution of the project plan.
• Maintenance & Commissioning: Leads the testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of fire alarm and fire fighting systems to ensure they are fully operational.
• Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of fire alarm, fire fighting, and fire protection systems is essential.
• Engineering Degree: A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is a common requirement.
• Experience: Proven experience in fire system design, shop drawings, and execution, especially within the relevant region (e.g., UAE), is often sought.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant design and drafting software is also necessary.
• Communication: The ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contractors is crucial for project success.
