Engineer I, Technical Road

Job Purpose

Responsible for the technical review and coordination of roadworks, including alignment, grading, cross sections, and pavement layers. The role ensures that all technical documentation is accurate and constructible, supports resolution of site issues, aligns road designs with utility and infrastructure constraints.

Projects Technicality Operation

1. Prepare, coordinate, and review shop drawings for roadworks, including horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and pavement structures.
2. Review and approve subcontractor submissions, method statements, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and road standards.
3. Lead the preparation and resolution of RFIs related to road design conflicts, missing details, or site constraints.
4. Manage material submittals for roads—such as asphalt mix designs, base/sub-base materials, and curb units—ensuring timely approvals and delivery tracking.
5. Coordinate with design, site, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues and ensure proper implementation of roadwork elements.
6. Support the evaluation of technical offers from subcontractors, suppliers and contribute to overall technical assessments.
7. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers in design coordination, site implementation, and drawing development, while monitoring and reporting on roadwork design status, risks, and decisions.

Self-Management

1. Follow up on technical targets set by engineering management and provide regular status reports on road design deliverables.
2. Enhance expertise in road design and construction by learning from project challenges and staying informed about advancements in materials, equipment, and execution practices.

Miscellaneous Duties

• Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering
• 5-8 Years of relevant experience in construction technicality
