Position Specific Description
This position performs extensive engineering analysis for technical decisions to support business unit objectives. Performs engineering, root cause analysis, develop associated cost-effective countermeasures, and provide expert advice for system malfunctions affecting the ability of business unit assets to meet their objectives. Assures designs meet regulatory codes and operability, reliability and cost targets. Develops scope, design criteria, perform complex data collection, and engineering analysis/design for completion of large projects. Develops procedures for testing major components. Provides work directions to subordinate engineers and technicians. Develops short- and long-term resource allocation plans.
Employees in this role apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to broad variety of assignments and related fields. This job is responsible for evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks. This position conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations.
