Engineer II, Steel Unit
Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a productive work environment. Implement and uphold safety and security protocols to protect the well-being of all employees and company assets.
Rebar Design & Detailing
- Interpret architectural and structural blueprints to determine rebar requirements, including quantities, dimensions, bends, and placements.
- Develop detailed rebar cutting and bending schedules.
- Review and approve rebar shop drawings to verify the given measurement.
Machinery Operation & Work Order Management
- Select and oversee the use of rebar cutting/bending machinery (e.g., Bench Cutting & Bending Machine) for precision and efficiency and allocate the work order.
- Extract Oracle Requests and assign work orders, optimizing production workflow and update in the system.
- Manage the operation process in steelyard.
Inspection & Compliance
- Conduct inspections to ensure rebar cutting and bending meet specifications, such as lap lengths, bend radii, and cover distances.
- Document rebar quantities, installation progress, and deviations for compliance reporting.
- Ensure all the delivery of rebars as per the drawing.
Safety & Training
- Enforce safety protocols, including proper equipment handling and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Train technicians on machinery operation and safety practices.
Miscellaneous Duties:
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.
- Qualification Bachelor’s degree
- Other Requirements
- Should Have knowledge in precast detailing, connection design, and erection procedures
- Familiarity in ACI 318, CRSI standards, and CAD tools
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, OTP Arma CAD) and rebar detailing tools
- Years of Experience
- 5-6 years in rebar design, construction, or fabrication
