Description of Work
The primary role of this position is to prepare confidential construction cost estimates for NCDOT Central Highway Lettings and Alternative Delivery Projects to be used by the Department as a basis for qualifying bids received from private contractors.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC20 $67,852 - $118,741

Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualification May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
