About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in hydraulic systems, pneumatic equipment, automation machinery, and assembly line maintenance. The role focuses on ensuring smooth machine operation, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement in production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and pneumatic actuators
• Maintain and service automation systems, conveyors, robotic arms, and assembly machines
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and procedures
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machines/equipment
• Monitor machine performance to improve equipment reliability and uptime
• Maintain maintenance records, schedules, and spare parts inventory
• Coordinate with production, quality, and design teams to resolve technical issues
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators and junior technicians

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits
• Experience in assembly line and industrial machine maintenance
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of TPM, Kaizen, and Lean practices (preferred)
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering or related field
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance
• Experience in manufacturing, automation, or assembly line industry is an advantage
