Job summary:
This position ensures that safe working practices are implemented/ conducted in all TAQA Distribution water operations and maintenance activities. Specifically, the Engineer will be required to monitor the implementation of TAQA Distribution System Safety Rules to promote and maintain a safe working environment.
General Responsibilities:

Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.

Reporting

Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business policies and standards.

Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.

Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.
Job Specific Responsibilities:

Monitor day-to-day site water operation & activities to ensure a healthy and safe working environment.

Observe & report site hazards and near miss including public safety.
-
Monitor water operation & maintenance activities near the customer premises.
-
Conduct daily HSE assurance program for water operation and maintenance activities.
-
Monitor the implementation of PTW (safety documents) procedures.
-
Monitor the Risk Rigster implementation in water operation & maintenance activities.
-
Direct Support to Sr. Engineer, O&M Water.

Performs other similar or related HSE duties as and when assigned by Sr. Engineer O&M Water/ Manager HSE Operations.

Essential Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
-
Up to 3 years of relevant working experience
Desired Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Engineering Discipline or equivalent NEBOSH GC/IGC or Diploma in Safety/HSE or IOSH Managing Safely or any other HSE certifications would be an added advantage.

OSHAD (Abu Dhabi Public Health Center) Practitioner Certificates .
-
ISO Auditor Certification – Preferred.
-
HSE Inspector certification – Preferred.
