Engineer (Engineering OT Security) Responsibilities
- Shall identify and release OT cybersecurity scope of work and specifications for TP projects & participate in OT cybersecurity tender evaluation process.
- Shall review & comment on OT cybersecurity engineering documents as per the DDCMS list to ensure compliance against security specifications.
- Shall witness, validate and signoff contractor compliance against approved OT security engineering designs and technical specifications during relevant stages of the design and engineering lifecycle (FAT).
- Shall develop OT security design implementation guidance documentation & other required technology products.
- Shall provide required support for OT security related projects' activities ensuring task ownership is upheld and expectations delivered in a timely manner by providing design, engineering and configuration inputs to the project stakeholders.
- Communicate implementation guidance for OT security architectures to internal teams and selected external stakeholders where applicable & coordinate with other TP departments for engineering-related tasks.
- Shall perform planning, execution, design development and maintenance of OT Security Architectures for SCADA systems for Transmission & Distribution Control Centers and related systems.
- Shall perform planning, execution, design development OT Security Architectures for Level 3.5 & Level 2.5 that covers OT/IT security technology infrastructure and related support systems.
- Shall develop/maintain & regularly update TP OT cybersecurity specifications, ensuring alignment with international standards and Dubai Government regulations.
- Shall support in developing technical requirements for security products & required use cases for PoC.
- Shall provide applicable low-level cybersecurity design inputs to support internal OT cybersecurity projects & develop physical, component and service management security.
- Shall conduct reviews/self-assessments to define gaps in existing security baselines for OT environments and accordingly define required security controls to reach target state security architectures.
- Shall conduct internal studies and provide improvement suggestions related to engineering optimization supported by appropriate justifications.
- Shall witness/manage OT security testing (including capital projects, PoC, etc.) and support equipment prequalification activities in line with the Divisional approved qualification methodology. Update/maintain IT/OT approved cyber security equipment/system list.
- Shall conduct research on security technology trends and evaluate relevant emerging technologies/security products to determine viability for OT environments.
- Shall develop, maintain and control OT security technical specifications (400kV, 132kV, 33kV & 11kV including external and internal interfaces to other systems) to ensure consistent coverage across all OT environments.
- Shall perform any other tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.
- Shall ensure non-disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the Authority, during or after employment in DEWA.
Education & Experience Education
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience / Qualification
- Minimum 6 years experience in high voltage transmission field, design, engineering, quality control and testing for Bachelors degree holder
- Minimum 8 years experience in high voltage transmission field, design, engineering, quality control and testing for Diploma holder
- Problem solving skills to propose technical solutions
- Knowledge in International Standards (IEEE, IEC, BS)
- Proficiency in technical report writing
- Preferred related experience in engineering design software's (i.e. BIM, Revit)
