Job Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring Engineer PE I candidates with specialties in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Energy Engineering. The role involves designing, analyzing, testing, maintaining, repairing, and improving engineering systems and products.
Key Responsibilities

Sign and seal engineering documents in compliance with state and professional standards.

Analyze, develop, and evaluate engineering systems and projects.

Design and draft blueprints, and manage engineering projects from concept to completion.

Conduct site visits and coordinate with project teams.

Apply standard engineering techniques and analyses.
-
Work under general supervision, resolving moderately complex engineering problems.

Provide leadership, coaching, or mentoring as appropriate (Level II & III).
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering.

4 to 7 years of engineering experience.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with 4 years of experience working under a Professional Engineer (PE).

Experience with energy savings projects and life cycle cost analysis.

Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and utility data analysis.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Experience designing healthcare and higher education projects.

Experience with central energy plant (CEP) mechanical infrastructure projects.

Experience designing medium voltage protection and power distribution systems.
-
Experience with paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below.
Additional Information

Ability to work onsite with hybrid/remote flexibility.

Willingness to travel 5-10% to project sites within state.

Engineer PE II and Engineer PE III positions available as well. Pay is based on experience.
