Engineer (RFP & Proposal Specialist)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineer (preferably Electrical/Power Systems) with proven experience in Request for Proposals (RFPs) preparation and submission. The role involves combining engineering expertise with strong technical writing and documentation skills to deliver compelling, compliant, and high-quality proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders.
• Interpret client requirements, review bid documents, and develop compliant responses.
• Collaborate with technical experts, project managers, and business development teams to collect input and integrate into proposals.
• Draft, edit, and finalize technical sections, resumes, project references, and methodologies.
• Ensure proposals comply with all client, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Manage submission timelines, clarifications, and follow-ups with clients.
• Maintain a repository of proposals, templates, and supporting documents for continuous improvement.
• Contribute engineering expertise (electrical/power systems) to enhance the quality and competitiveness of proposals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering (PEC or equivalent registration preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in engineering roles with proven exposure to RFP/proposal development.
• Strong knowledge of energy, utilities, and power system projects (renewable energy experience is a plus).
• Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
