3D Design Engineer – Mid-Level

We are looking for a 3D Design Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in SolidWorks to design enclosures, mechanical parts, and assemblies for electronic products. The role involves working closely with hardware engineers to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and aesthetically appealing.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings in SolidWorks for enclosures, brackets, sheet metal parts, and mechanical assemblies.
• Design plastic injection molded parts, sheet metal components, and prepare files for 3D printing prototypes.
• Collaborate with electronics and manufacturing teams to ensure mechanical designs meet functional, thermal, and assembly requirements.
• Perform assembly analysis and validation, in close coordination with hardware teams, to ensure correct fit, alignment, and ease of manufacturing.
• Prepare fabrication-ready drawings, assembly instructions, exploded diagrams, and 3D printing STL files.
• Conduct mold design and simulation analysis, including pre-analysis of draft angles, material usage optimization, and manufacturability assessment for both plastic and sheet metal parts.
• Revise designs based on feedback from prototyping and testing.
• Ensure compliance with mechanical and industrial design standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of 3D design experience (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including plastic injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and 3D printing.
• Ability to create detailed 2D fabrication drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Experience preparing and optimizing models for 3D printing.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for IP-rated enclosures.
• Knowledge of thermal management for electronic devices.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
