Sourcing support Engineer
Job Description
- Position requires a professional Engineer who can support and be a part of the build-up and development of a strong global sourcing team.
- Position requires strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, work effectively with global team members, and present performance results to upper management.
- Must understand manufacturing processes and be able to create solutions.
- Must possess exceptional integrity to handle supplier relationships objectively and to maintain confidentiality of shared information while dealing with competitive suppliers.
- Take ownership and drive Sourcing related master data and make sure all master data related to Sourcing is 100% updated on our range of articles.
- Respond in a timely manner to urgent sourcing tasks requested.
- To carry out all assigned tasks as necessary to achieve desired results and meet departmental goals.
- Initiate and complete administrative requirements such as writing engineering change requests, loading quotations, submitting standard cost changes, and other actions as required to ensure parts and pricing are available.
- Undertakes supplier management to obtain the best suppliers and ensure an optimum supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Selection of correct Suppliers and send RFQ’s.
- Execute and solve RTS from suppliers.
- Update the M3 system with correct price, lead-time & country of origin.
- Update RFQ with required documentation.
- Release of blocked invoices.
- Send Purchase orders.
- Support to develop and Administer Strategic Sourcing Plan
- Make sure that all necessary purchasing parameters (vendor data, contracts) are given and stored properly and take appropriate action whenever necessary.
- Work with the supplier to agree on corrective actions to resolve escalated issues or look for alternative suppliers when necessary.
- Provide regular status updates to Project leader / Project Manager.
Experience:
- 6-8 Years experience.
- Experience in handling and maintaining master data.
- ERP (M3) experience.
- Experience from relevant industry application – e.g., Mining Equipment / Automotive, or other relevant application preferred.
Personality requirements:

- Excellent communication skills.

- Result oriented and capable of working independently.
