Descon Qatar is looking for a qualified and motivated Engineer – Subcontracting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in subcontracting activities within EPC and maintenance/shutdown projects and strong commercial and coordination skills.

🔹 Position Details

Position Title: Engineer – Subcontracting

Qualification: BE in Engineering

Experience:

Total: 3–5 Years

Relevant (Subcontracting): Minimum 2 Years

Middle East Experience: 1–2 Years

Nationality: Open to all suitable candidates (females are encouraged to apply)

Languages: English (mandatory), Urdu / Hindi (preferred)

🔹 Key Technical Skills

-Strong understanding of subcontracting processes and management

-Experience in evaluating, selecting, and managing subcontractors

-Ability to draft and negotiate subcontract agreements

-Sound understanding of engineering standards, codes, and specifications

-Skilled in monitoring subcontractor performance and cost reconciliation

-Awareness of HSE standards and risk management in subcontracting

-Strong coordination skills between subcontractors and internal project teams

-Experience in maintenance, shutdown (SD), and EPC subcontracting tasks (both proposal and post-award phases)

🔹 Certifications & Tools

-Proficiency in SAP

-Advanced MS Excel skills (data analysis and reporting)

-Familiarity with FIDIC contract principles
