Primary Equipment (HV / EHV Yard & Switchgear)

  • AIS / GIS systems at 220 kV, 380 kV, and 400 kV
  • HV/EHV Circuit breakers, isolators, earthing switches
  • CTs and VTs (ratio, polarity, burden, functional checks)
  • Busbars, feeders, earthing systems etc…
  • Power transformers (testing limited to integration, protection interface, and energization readiness)

Ensure correct phasing, interlocking, clearances, earthing continuity , and readiness for first energization of the HV/EHV substation.

2) EHV Protection, Control & Secondary Systems

  • Distance protection (multiple zones)
  • Line differential protection (PLCC / fiber-based)
  • Transformer differential protection
  • Busbar protection schemes
  • Overcurrent and earth fault protection
  • Bay control units (BCU) and control panels

  • SCADA, RTU, and bay-level communication testing
  • Signal validation between yard, control room, and remote control centers
  • Time synchronization (GPS/IRIG-B, SNTP)
  • Event, disturbance recorder, and SOE verification

4) Energization & Grid Interface (Critical Scope)

  • Lead and support EHV energization activities in coordination with grid authorities
  • Prepare energization sequences, checklists, and safety clearances
  • Coordinate live-grid switching, shutdowns, and re-energization
