Engineer, Water OT Security

Job summary:

To assist in implementing and maintaining OT cybersecurity measures to safeguard the organization’s operational technology systems. Involves supporting the identification and resolution of cyber threats, aiding compliance with security standards, and providing specialized knowledge in OT security processes and practices.

General Responsibilities:

• Policy, Procedures, Process and Systems
• Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
• Reporting
• Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business policies and standards.
• Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
• Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing cybersecurity architecture within OT systems and networks, such as DMZs and firewalls.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and address identified risks in OT hardware and software.
• Monitor OT cybersecurity systems, ensuring consistent application of security patches and updates.
• Participate in system monitoring and intrusion detection, responding to potential threats and escalating issues as needed.
• Provide technical support in OT cybersecurity practices, advising on the security aspects of OT system development and maintenance.
• Support the development and execution of cybersecurity incident response and recovery plans for OT systems.
• Conduct routine backups and manage security patches for OT assets to ensure data and system integrity.
• Collaborate with senior cybersecurity staff in training and awareness programs for OT employees.
• Keep up-to-date on cybersecurity trends and technologies, contributing insights to OT security improvements.
• Prepare and document reports on system vulnerabilities, cybersecurity incidents, and resolution efforts for management.
