Engineer/Designer

Must have 3D modeling experience with either Soildworks or Fusion.

A ME degree or equivalent is preferred but not required. Experience with electrical engineering or electronics is a huge plus.

Job will be part time to start, 20 hours per week as an independent contractor. Transition to full time after 90 probationary period. Very flexible hours.

To start work will be done onsite but will transition into a hybrid of onsite and remote.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Engineer/Designer to join our team with flexible hours. The primary responsibility will be assisting with product design and prototype development under the guidance of our lead engineer. Support product design and prototyping using CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion) and fabrication tools. Collaborate on design projects, including brainstorming, sketching, and prototyping. Assist with testing and refining prototypes based on project requirements.

Qualifications Preferred: Engineering degree or coursework (mechanical, industrial, or related field) is a plus but not required. Hands-on experience with shop equipment (e.g., lathe, CNC mill, water jet, welding, 3D printing) or willingness to learn. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
