Engineering Draftsman (MEP/HVAC)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings for MEP systems, with a strong focus on HVAC documentation.
• Assist in planning and drafting system layouts, based on engineering inputs and project requirements.
• Identify and correctly label HVAC equipment, sensors, and other system components.
• Plan and document sensor placement across relevant drawings (Basic / Sense plans).
• Create and update cable routing layouts and pathway documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness of technical drawings.
• Review drawings for compliance with project standards and make revisions as required.
• Maintain version control and organized drawing records for all MEP drawings.
• Support project teams with drawing updates, equipment lists, and layout refinements.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) – Ability to create clean, precise, and standards-compliant drawings.
• MEP fundamentals – Basic understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
• HVAC system knowledge – Ability to identify HVAC components and document them accurately.
• Understanding of sensor plans, equipment placement, and system layout requirements.
• Knowledge of cable routing and structured cabling documentation is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Draftsman in MEP/HVAC or related engineering fields.
