Engineering Facilities Projects Manager

Job Overview:

The Engineering Facilities Projects Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the successful execution of key engineering and renovation projects across owned properties. The role involves managing all phases of assigned projects—from inception to completion—ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the quality and operational standards of the organization.

This position plays a critical role in aligning project objectives with the overall engineering and facilities management strategy of the group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, plan, and manage complex renovation and facilities projects from design through completion.
  • Collaborate with hotel management, technical teams, and external consultants to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and met.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, services, and contractors in accordance with project specifications.
  • Prepare progress reports, financial summaries, and technical documentation for management review.
  • Implement best practices in energy efficiency, sustainability, and preventive maintenance.
  • Support long-term asset management strategies for the group’s properties.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
  • Advanced training or certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, facilities management, or construction, including 5–7 years in project management within the hospitality or hotel industry .
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale renovations or technical projects.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of engineering systems and building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and energy management systems.
  • Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and cost control tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines.
