• Experience in engineering leadership, with deep technical experience delivering highly secure SaaS and cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCP) products and platforms at scale while effectively balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic investment.
• Deep technical background building scalable high-availability systems, either as an individual contributor or leading a team to do so. Experience leading the entire technology lifecycle from identifying needs, through design, implementation, maintenance and, when appropriate, end of life.
• Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix-management environment.
• Proven track record of building and leading high performance engineering teams, and with demonstrated success at high-growth companies with a global presence.
• Strong track record of facilitating learning and growth of engineers across various experience levels through effective coaching and mentoring on software engineering best practices, technical architecture, and other complex technical challenges.
• Ability to manage and plan at both the strategic and operational levels and to consistently meet or exceed planned objectives.
• Critical thinking, strategic acumen, and the ability to translate business priorities into an engineering plan of action with appropriate metrics to track progress.
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills. Able to weigh multiple, sometimes conflicting points-of-view and drive a decision
• Deep appreciation of how you operationalize and measure performance of engineering teams.
• Experienced in Lean IT, agile development, and DevOps principles and frameworks. Experience transitioning an organization from traditional practices to agile development methodologies.
