The Engineering Learning Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn offers assistance to students in CECS courses and other academic success programs. Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering (ME/BENG) tutors provide drop-in assistance to students in ME/BENG courses. Anticipated start date: August 24, 2026
The ME/BENG tutor in the Engineering Learning Center will:
Provide drop-in tutoring for lower-level ME/BENG courses in the ELC
Assist in production of short video-tutorials related to topics tutored in coordination with ELC leadership, faculty and CECS Online
Refer students to appropriate campus resources as needed
Attend training sessions related to academic success and best practices in ME/BENG tutoring
Promote the ELC at events
Assist the ELC coordinator with projects and other administrative tasks
