To supervise the administrative functions of the department and provide necessary functional support to the duty manager for day to day activities. Liaise with other sections to maintain necessary network connections and coordinate the sections activities. To supervise and guide ETCC's in their daily duties.
In this role you will:
- Supervise, monitor and record the training details of the department members and set a plan to meet the requirement.
- Review the IT requirements of the section and budget for implementation in close liaison with the sections management.
- Base Operations:
- To ensure that all Base Ops assets, documents and processes are valid and maintained. Assist with the planning of all Base Operations routine/non routine activities and ensure 100% operational readiness for any Casualty or AOG (Aircraft-On-Ground) aircraft on a day to day basis is maintained.
- Monitor compliance status of fleet Residual Disinfection (RD) the mandatory process required for EK Aircraft to enter Australia and New Zealand, ensuring chemicals stock levels are maintained. To ensure that there is complete visibility of all the treatment that is carried out on an aircraft and available at all times.
- Maintain and update the contingency plan for an AOG event by ensuring that an updated staff record is prepared, with an Engineer team nominated and ready to dispatch. Alert and provide engineers to support any outstation aircraft AOG (Aircraft-On-Ground) / Recovery event, ensuring that the AOG/ Recovery team's passport/visa/vaccination/training requirements are up-to-date, valid and distributed to the
Maintenance Control Centre (MCC).
- In the event of an AOG (Aircraft-On-Ground) /Recovery situation, assist the BOSM by ensuring that manpower, resources and tooling are ready to go within 90 minutes from an alert and that the normally required tooling and spares are kept in a constant state of readiness.
- Base Heavy Maintenance:
- Ensure all LAEs and Technicians in Base Heavy Maintenance (BHM) are available as and when required to meet the overall demands of the BHM operation. Ensure the appropriate approval holders are allocated to each shift and coordinate any Base Operations manpower requirements with their Coordinators as required. Maintain a detailed manpower record including the monthly roster.
- Update the RMS / SPX systems to accurately reflect staff available at any time within the operational environment. Prepare the three day allocation prior to the manpower meeting, taking into consideration all the final review meeting demands of different trades across the hangars. Post manpower meeting ensure that the duty schedules are communicated to all staff.
- Maintain continual contact with the Engineering training centre on general administration issues, in particular coordinating trainees and apprentices, and on-job-training assignments within Base Maintenance.
- Produce regular reports showing actuals and trends on manpower related items such as attendance (ALTRS), sickness, overtime, lieu time and leave. Highlight individual issues and trends that are of concern to Managers and assist in putting in place remedial actions to prevent repeat cases.
- Liaise with HR to maintain the BHM medical and industrial injury report, ensuring all Occupational Medical review details are up to date. Coordinate with staff regarding medical appointments and in conjunction with the Base Heavy Managers facilitate light duties and a smooth return to work.
To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:
- A Level/ High School Diploma or Vocational in Aeronautical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.
- Experience in Engineering / Maintenance Control
- A Level - 5 Years in Maintenance Planning / Technical Records or other associated Technical Support Organisation
- Diploma holder - Minimum 2 years experience in Maintenance Programmes / Maintenance Planning / Technical Records or associated Technical Support Organisation.
- Experience in the application & administration of Aircraft Regulatory & Legislation requirements associated with Airworthiness Compliance & Management
- Knowledge/skills:
- Must be fully conversant with aircraft documentation and records including AMM, IPC, work packages and maintenance schedules.
- Have an understanding of Aircraft / Power Plant Systems and Components.
- Sound knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
Use of Airline / MRO M&E Data Management and Digital Documentations Systems is preferred.
