The
Engineering Manager
will lead a team of ~25 engineers across Application Engineering, Customer Order Engineering (Electrical & Mechanical), and Work Preparation, delivering high-quality outputs. As a key member of the site leadership team, this role drives operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and talent development. We seek a visionary leader who inspires, coaches, and develops engineering talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a technical expert in medium voltage switchgear, with strong customer orientation and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts. The department also supports the Pre-Order Team with engineering input for high-value quotations, while Customer Engineering is based on existing product concepts; new product development is handled by Portfolio Management & R&D.

Manage all Customer Engineering processes at the Ankara plant, ensuring quality, efficiency, profitability, and compliance with regulations.

Promote problem-solving and collaboration, encouraging innovation and cross-functional teamwork.

Support Pre-Order Team with engineering input for high-value quotations and standardized, cost-effective solutions.

Translate sales forecasts into resource planning, ensuring optimal staffing and alignment with business goals.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing workflows, tools and systems.

Ensure technical accuracy and compliance, managing documentation, reporting metrics, and maintaining up-to-date engineering systems and tools.
Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;

10 years of work experience in Switchgear Manufacturing / Engineering Services;

Degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems Engineering;

10 years’ experience in Engineering in the electrical services/project business.
Skills:
-
General knowledge of the electrical distribution grid i.e. (Application) knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage products, i.e. switchgear, UPS, batteries, transformers, protection relays, SCADA/Automation etc.

Knowledge of Engineering, Calculation and Manufacturing Methods, Tools and Systems.
-
International experience mandatory and cultural awareness.

Knowledge of Engineer to Order (ETO) and Assemble to Order (ATO) Business.

ERP Knowledge (SAP, Oracle).

Six Sigma, Pro Launch and ISO 9001.

Language capability: English/Turkish.

Procedures, company rules, guidelines (national and international), law, rules & regulations, standards, safety, quality and environmental guidelines as far as applicable.
