The Engineering Manager is accountable for the overall technical performance, safety compliance, and quality of engineering deliverables across assigned projects or assets in DISOUCO JV organization. Working location is DISOUCO JV office. Key areas include:

Engineering Governance: Ensuring all engineering activities comply with corporate standards, codes, and regulatory requirements (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).

Project Delivery: Accountable for timely, cost-effective, and technically sound execution of engineering scopes in all project phases (FEED, detailed design, commissioning).

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture, ensuring designs adhere to process safety and environmental standards.

Budget and Resource Management: Managing engineering budgets, forecasts, and allocation of human and technical resources.
-
Stakeholder Management: Ensuring effective communication and coordination among project teams, operations, contractors, and external authorities.

Technical Integrity: Maintaining the integrity and reliability of assets through sound engineering practices and life-cycle management.
Areas of Responsibility
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to support both project and operational needs. Responsibilities typically include:

Lead teams of discipline engineers (mechanical, electrical, civil, process, etc.).

Mentor and develop engineers to ensure succession planning and skills growth.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Engineering Management

Develop and review engineering design philosophies, standards, and procedures.

Approve key engineering deliverables such as design packages, datasheets, and specifications.

Oversee technical bid evaluations and contractor performance.

Ensure integration of engineering with procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Project Execution

Support project managers in defining project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.

Monitor progress and manage risks to ensure successful project delivery.

Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance for seamless handover and startup.
Compliance and Assurance

Ensure compliance with local and international codes, standards, and environmental regulations.

Lead design reviews, HAZOPs, and technical audits.

Implement lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
