Senior O&M Engineer

Work Location

• New Cairo, Egypt

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• Plans, schedules, monitors, inspects, and ensures the execution of daily, weekly, and monthly O&M activities to ensure smooth operations of RE Solar PV and BESS power plants. The key responsibilities include performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities prior to performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and implements plans for preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Extracts and processes data from SCADA and EMS, reviews data quality, ensures appropriate storage, and presents data in the right way.
• Identifies problems, runs preliminary RCA for abnormal defects, and develops corrective actions. Performs component inspections, testing, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Provides timely written status and progress reports from field operations.
• Responds to emergency call-outs.
• Ensures that all O&M activities performed at project sites comply with OEM warranties.
• Responsible for all required repairs, maintenance, and monitoring of all warranty claims.
• Records and reports all faults and deficiencies, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
• Ensure subcontractors' compliance with HSE requirements.
• Prepare the plant's monthly payment invoices.

REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL QUALIFICATION

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Machine Power Engineering

Years of Experience:

• 3–5 years as an O&M engineer of a large-scale solar PV project and/or BESS projects.

Language:

• English,

Computer skills:

• Excellent

Technical Skills Required

• Very good experience in O&M of:

1. Solar PV plants.
2. BESS plants.
3. MV equipment.
4. Power Transformers.
5. SCADA and EMS systems for solar PV and BESS.
6. Good knowledge of international electrical codes/standards, and specifically for PV and BESS.
