We’re looking for an Engineering Manager (Hands-On) to lead a small team (up to 10 engineers) while contributing directly as a senior developer. This is a “player/coach” role that is perfect for someone who wants to write code, mentor engineers, and drive high-quality delivery.

Your Impact

• Lead day-to-day operations of engineering squads, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and timelines.
• Contribute production code, guide system architecture and ensure engineering best practices across codebases and deployments.
• Collaborate with product and design leaders to define scope, roadmap, and feature prioritization.
• Drive execution across cycles, backlogs, and releases using tools like Linear and Monday.
• Innovate through the use of Gen AI in the development process to increase productivity and speed.
• Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and stakeholder updates to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Coach and mentor software engineers, fostering growth in technical depth, product thinking, and delivery habits.
• Build a team culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Champion performance, reliability, and scalability in application design and infrastructure.
• Partner with QA, DevOps, and security to integrate testing, monitoring, and compliance into development workflows.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of software development experience, with 2+ years in a leadership, delivery, or engineering management role.
• Proven ability to lead agile teams, deliver complex projects in fast-paced environments, and ability to balance IC work with managing agile teams.
• Strong coding skills in PHP (Symfony/Laravel), MySQL/Postgres, React/Next.js, TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of full-stack development, CI/CD practices, and cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred).
• Excellent project management skills with experience driving technical roadmaps to completion.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder alignment, and people leadership abilities.
• Bonus: Experience in hospitality, travel, eCommerce, or platform-based SaaS environments.
