Engineering Manager
to lead our engineering team, drive innovation, and collaborate across the organization to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑impact results.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, safety, and operational execution.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead and oversee engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a high-performing engineering team

Foster a strong safety-first culture, including conducting daily Job Safety Briefings

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and optimize processes

Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ANSI, OSHA) and regulatory requirements
-
Approve engineering designs, documentation, and technical reports
-
Track KPIs, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed
-
Support budgeting, resource planning, and procurement of tools and software
-
Stay current on crane engineering advancements through site visits, trade shows, and industry events
You’ll report directly to the
Chief Operating Officer
and play a key role in shaping the future of Cranemasters’ engineering capabilities.
What You Bring

Proven leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams

Strong background in
mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering
, ideally within heavy machinery or crane systems

Proficiency with CAD and analysis tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, FEA, CFD)

Experience managing complex engineering projects with multiple stakeholders

Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

A collaborative mindset with the confidence to make sound technical and operational decisions
Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field
-
7–10 years of engineering and management experience (heavy equipment or crane industry preferred)

Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed
Preferred:

Master’s Degree in Engineering
-
Professional Engineer (PE) License
-
PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification
