ROLE SUMMARY
Lead engineering, design, and technical delivery for desalination (RO/MED/MSF) and wastewater treatment plants (MBR/SBR/tertiary). Manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensure design quality, support project execution, and drive performance optimisation across new builds, expansions, and retrofit projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead engineering teams (process, mechanical, electrical, I&C, civil).

Oversee concept, FEED, and detailed design for desalination & WWTP systems.

Approve PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic profiles, GAs, and design calculations.

Manage engineering schedules, deliverables, budgets, and resources.

Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, OEM suppliers, and regulators.

Support site installation, testing, and commissioning (FAT/SAT).

Troubleshoot process issues: membrane fouling, energy efficiency, plant upsets.

Review technical submittals, vendor documents, and equipment specifications.

Ensure compliance with AWWA, ASTM, IEC, IFC, WHO, and local utility standards.

Lead HAZOP/HAZID, design reviews, risk assessments and QA/QC processes.

Provide operational support and recommend plant upgrades/improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Environmental Engineering.

10–15+ years in water sector engineering.

At least 5 years in SWRO/MED/MSF desalination design.

At least 5 years in WWTP / MBR / SBR engineering.

Strong EPC/design-build project experience in GCC preferred.

Skilled in RO design software (WAVE, ROSA, IMSDesign).

Knowledge of pumps, membranes, hydraulics, SCADA/PLC, and I&C systems.
