NOTE: This position is available for full-time remote work within the contiguous United States, with travel as required for business purposes.
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager, Systems Engineering, this position implements standards and best practices for business process management and procedure development and maintenance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Engineering and interfacing organizations to systematically interrogate processes and design, continuously improve, and manage a comprehensive set of engineering and related programs, procedures, and standards. This position requires a blend of technical comprehension, effective technical writing, strong communication skills, and effective implementation of quality and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation of engineering programs, standards, procedures, work instructions, and templates.

Support design of new processes through collaboration with engineers, program managers, quality, regulatory, and operations teams using interviews, meetings, and research to comprehend current-state practices and define future-state processes.
- Lead initiatives in support of the continuous improvement of engineering programs, procedures, and processes.

Analyze and evaluate existing procedures and processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, comprehension, compliance, and standardization.

Develop and manage procedural documents that are well-structured, easy to understand, and accessible to the target audience.

Ensure requirements from applicable sources (e.g., NQA-1, ASME, NRC, ISO 9001, etc.) are met and maintained.

Create training materials and provide training on engineering processes and best practices. Act as a trusted advisor for users and stakeholders on process intent, interpretation, and application, including for internal and external audits.

Provide technical writing and editorial support for key engineering work products, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance across technical documentation.
- Effectively communicate with other technical and non-technical disciplines.

- Quality Assurance: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.
MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

Education/Certification: Minimum requirement is a 4-year degree in technical related field, or a combination of Business Administration and technical working experience, is required. Alternatively, and additional 4 years (9 years total) of full-time directly applicable working experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of directly-related, full-time professional experience in engineering process development is required. Must have demonstrated experience in developing and writing procedures for complex, multi-disciplinary design projects. Other required experience includes:

Strong technical writing, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills

Ability to be proactive and work with minimal direction once tasks are assigned and understood

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience:

Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), or similar certification

Experience working in NQA-1 or ISO 9001 compliant engineering programs
- Experience with process mapping tools and techniques (e.g., Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN))

Knowledge of lean and/or Six Sigma principles

Experience in power generation or nuclear industries

Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $99,175 - $119,694 annually. The full pay range is $88,915 - $139,073 annually.
