Summary

Support Engineering Department (focusing on program engineering). This position will facilitate interdepartmental communication and collaboration, through email, Jira tickets, and GANT chart scheduling, as well as preparing ROI and Project approval reports.

Responsibilities

Document scope and objectives, and share with all stakeholders and store in a place accessible to all.

Create and Maintain GANT schedule for each open engineering development project

o Large projects will require inter departmental mapping to establish handoff dates and estimated time of completion per segment.

o Tracking of Changes and Cause will also be required for post project analysis.

o All Projects changes should be updated on a weekly basis.

Create and Task Jira Tickets to responsible engineering team member or group based on Engineering managers direction

Coordinate project scope changes and documentation with Engineering Heads

Coordinate Engineering and Production Scheduling with Production Planner

Report on critical changes and shipdate movement to COO and CEO

Follow up and collect information for Engineering from Sales if full Scope is unclear.

Meeting Facilitation & Action Tracking:

Capture key decisions, action items, and ownership during engineering and cross-functional meetings.

Ensure action items are entered into Jira or project schedules with clear accountability.* Distribute concise meeting summaries to relevant stakeholders. Could likely include Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, Service.

Problem resolution – bring awareness and proposed solutions regarding pain points slowing the development / realization of goals and objectives; i.e production, purchasing

Monitor development and build hours relative to total budget – communicate risk of going over-budget based on trajectory.

Monitor and report total cost of project and cost trajectory to CEO/CFO

Conduct postmortem project analysis -

o Executive Analysis: project scope, goals, outcome

o Project Background:

  • Project Objectives
  • Scope and Deliverables
  • Timeline and Milestones – Estimated vs. Actual
  • Contributing factors

o Outcomes and Results:

  • Technical results – performance / success relative to objective(s).
  • Testing protocol / methodology outline
  • KPI’s - if applicable
  • Estimated Development hours vs. Actual
  • Contributing factors (positive and negative)

o Process Review -

  • What worked well in project management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Tools & methodologies: What were used and effective / ineffective.

o Challenges and Root Causes -

  • Technical challenges observed
  • Organizational / process challenges observed
  • External factors: i.e suppliers, market, etc

o Lessons Learned and Recommendations -

  • What worked well vs didn’t?
  • What process improvements should be considered
  • Strategic alignment – how to improve interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Agile experience
  • Engineering specific Project Management experience (highly desirable)
  • This position may require standing, walking, climbing stairs and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs in a manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.88 - $62.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
