Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Skywise/Palantir Foundry Developer to join our team. This role is focused on leveraging the Airbus Skywise platform (built on Palantir Foundry) to transform complex aviation and operational data into actionable business intelligence, predictive insights, and robust digital solutions. The ideal candidate will be an expert in developing, deploying, and managing data pipelines and applications within the Foundry ecosystem to drive operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making across our organization. Roles & Responsibilities: Data Pipeline Engineering & Orchestration: Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines using Code Repository (Python/PySpark/SQL) for transformation logic. Utilize Data Pipeline Builder and associated tools for the ingestion, scheduling, and orchestration of data flows from source systems into the Foundry environment. Implement robust data quality checks and monitoring throughout the pipeline lifecycle. Ontology Management: Define and manage the Foundry Ontology, including creating and linking Objects and Links to accurately represent real-world entities and their relationships. Ensure proper data governance, security, and access controls are applied to the underlying datasets and the derived Ontology. Application & Front-End Development: Build dynamic, advanced dashboards and reports using Contour for deep-dive analysis, aggregation, and visualization. Develop sophisticated, custom, and highly interactive applications for end-users using Slate and/or Workshop. Apply relevant front-end skills (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS) where necessary to customize and enhance the user experience in Slate/Workshop applications. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into technical specifications, and ensure delivered solutions drive measurable business value. Platform Expertise & Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Foundry solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability. Stay current with new features and best practices within the Palantir Foundry platform to continually enhance capabilities. Professional & Technical Skills: Programming: Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL. Platform Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with core Palantir Foundry tools: Data Transformation: Code Repository (leveraging PySpark for scalable transformations) and Data Pipeline Builder. Data Modeling: Ontology Manager (defining Objects, Links, and Properties). Analytics/Visualization: Contour (workflow creation and reporting). Application Building: Workshop and/or Slate (for custom operational applications). Advanced Capabilities: Experience integrating or utilizing Palantir AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform). Front-End Skills: Familiarity with basic JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for advanced customization of applications within Slate and Workshop Additional Information: Experience with Big Data architectures and concepts (e.g., Spark). Familiarity with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe). Knowledge of the Aviation/Aerospace industry (MRO, Flight Operations, Manufacturing&Engineering).
