Engineering Shift Leader / Engineering Duty Officer.

Position: Engineering Shift Leader / Engineering Duty Officer.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Shift Leader / Duty Officer to join our hotel operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all engineering systems and maintaining high standards of safety and maintenance across the property.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage daily engineering operations during assigned shifts

Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns

Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities

Coordinate with other departments to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations

Maintain records of maintenance activities and prepare reports

Ensure compliance with safety standards and preventive maintenance schedules

Lead and guide technical staff during shifts

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant field

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility management

Strong knowledge of:

HVAC systems

Plumbing systems

Electrical systems

General building maintenance

Good leadership and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends

Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred:

Experience in hotel or hospitality industry

Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems
