About Company & Role Purpose
Responsible for teaching English based on the Macmillan curriculum, and developing students' language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). The ideal candidate will help young learners build strong foundational English skills and foster a love for language and literature.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
General
· Deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Macmillan curriculum for primary stage students.
· Prepare and submit detailed lesson plans in accordance with school standards.
· Focus on developing students' four core language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
· Use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, storytelling, and group discussions, to enhance language acquisition.
· Assess and monitor student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, oral presentations, and examinations.
· Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support language development.
· Identify students needing additional support in specific language areas and implement intervention strategies.
· Encourage students to express themselves confidently in English, both verbally and in writing.
· Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
· Enforce classroom rules and school policies consistently.
· Manage student behavior effectively to maximize learning outcomes.
· Coordinate with fellow English teachers and academic staff to align curriculum delivery.
· Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
· Contribute to the development of English language resources and learning materials.
BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field.
· Teaching certification or diploma (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, CELTA, TESOL, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of practical teaching experience at the primary level.
· Experience teaching the Macmillan curriculum is strongly preferred.
· Prior work experience in the GCC region is an advantage.
Skills
· Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written) – native or near-native proficiency.
· Strong classroom management and lesson planning abilities.
· Ability to develop all four language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) in young learners.
· Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching English.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
· Proficiency in using educational technology and language teaching aids.
· Organized, reliable, and committed to student success.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: BD400.000 - BD600.000 per month
