Job Summary

The Orchid School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher for Primary Years, responsible for teaching English Language skills (Speaking, Reading, and Listening) along with Social Studies (SST). The ideal candidate should be able to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that develops students’ communication skills, confidence, and conceptual understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons focusing on Speaking, Reading, and Listening skills
• Teach Social Studies (SST) to primary level students
• Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Improve students’ vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills
• Encourage classroom participation through interactive activities and discussions
• Assess student progress regularly and maintain academic records
• Create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues for academic planning and school activities

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (preferred)
• Prior teaching experience in Primary Years will be an advantage
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of SST concepts for primary level
• Ability to manage classroom effectively
• Creative, patient, and student-focused approach
