English Teacher-Canal branch

The English Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in English language and/or literature, fostering students’ communication skills, critical thinking, and love for reading and writing. The role includes planning lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lesson Planning & Delivery
• Prepare and deliver dynamic lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
• Incorporate diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learning styles and levels.
• Student Assessment
• Design and administer quizzes, tests, projects, and other assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
• Classroom Management
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and orderly classroom environment.
• Encourage active participation and collaboration among students.
• Curriculum & Materials
• Select and adapt textbooks, digital tools, and supplementary resources.
• Integrate literature, writing exercises, and speaking activities.
• Professional Collaboration
• Work with colleagues to develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and school events.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Student Support
• Identify and support students with learning difficulties or special educational needs.
• Motivate students to achieve their personal and academic goals.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred for higher-level teaching).
• Teaching certification/licensure (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or state license) as required by the institution.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
• Passion for language, literature, and lifelong learning.
