Responsibilities
    Plan and deliver English lessons that cover reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary, aligned with American curriculum standards.
    • Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage young learners, including guided reading, phonics, shared reading, writer’s workshops, and differentiated instruction.
    • Foster language development and comprehension through interactive storytelling, discussions, and literary exploration.
    • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and student voice.
    • Design and implement formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
    • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth in literacy and communication.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, learning support staff, and parents to meet the individual needs of students, including ELL and special education learners.
    • Integrate technology and multimedia tools to support instruction and student engagement.
    • Maintain accurate records and report on student performance as required by school policy.
    • Participate in professional development, curriculum planning, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
Skills Description
    Standards-Based Instruction: Skilled in delivering English Language Arts (ELA) lessons aligned with American Curriculum standards such as the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
    • Literacy Development: Strong foundation in phonics, guided reading, vocabulary building, and grammar instruction, with strategies tailored to early literacy development.
    • Differentiated Instruction: Experienced in adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners, including English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with special educational needs.
    • Reading & Writing Workshop: Proficient in implementing balanced literacy approaches such as Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop models to foster independent thinking and creativity.
    • Assessment for Learning: Skilled in using formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, inform instruction, and set personalized learning goals.
    • Classroom Management: Creates a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, respect, and a lifelong love of reading and writing.
