ENGLISH Test Prep Tutor (ISEE, SSAT, SAT, ACT)

Job Summary

Duties

• Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions focused on ISEE, SSAT, SAT, or ACT preparation tailored to individual student needs
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum standards and innovative learning technology tools
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies to maximize learning outcomes
• Facilitate classroom management during group or one-on-one sessions to maintain a positive and focused environment
• Create customized practice tests and review materials to reinforce test-taking strategies and content mastery
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, or school staff to track student progress and provide feedback on performance improvements
• Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student achievements, and areas for further development

Skills

• Strong knowledge of standardized test content including math, reading, writing, science, and test-specific strategies
• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching in classroom settings or one-on-one environments
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly
• Proficiency with learning technology platforms used for curriculum development and virtual instruction
• Ability to develop effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student goals
• Experience working with diverse learners, including those in special education or adult education settings
• Strong classroom management skills to foster a productive learning environment
• Exceptional writing skills for creating clear instructional materials and feedback reports
